Equality and what does it mean? Which hurtles do you have to overcome and which perseverance is needed to overcome gender segregation?
Being the only girl of triplets, Vera grew up like a boy but many things were different. While never being allowed to practice and play like her brothers, she went on to become national coach and technical director of different countries.
She used her experiences to influence the approach of creating equal development opportunities for both boys and girls in sport. Because she believes women and men are equal in whichever sport they play.
In this TED Talk, she will be speaking from her experience in the football world, and about the huge role sport has in the emancipation of young girls and women.
