About the project

Vodafone TV (VTV) is one of the largest and most complex delivery programs within Vodafone, bringing together multiple engineering teams responsible for TV platforms, analytics, integrations, cloud infrastructure and operations.

Over the last year, the VTV team has been exploring how Artificial Intelligence can be applied to improve software delivery, operations and engineering productivity. What started as a collection of individual AI initiatives evolved into a broader vision: creating a reusable AI ecosystem capable of accelerating transformation across the entire program.

This vision led to the creation of the VTV AI Hub, an initiative designed to consolidate AI capabilities, maximize reuse between teams and establish a sustainable framework for AI adoption at scale.

What & how are we delivering?

The VTV AI Hub was designed as a strategic portfolio of AI-powered capabilities based on autonomous agents and workflow automation.

Instead of creating isolated solutions for specific use cases, the team focused on identifying common engineering challenges and transforming them into reusable capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple domains.

To organize this portfolio, AI capabilities were grouped into dedicated value streams called Boosters, including:

  • Delivery Acceleration Boosters – focused on accelerating software delivery activities.
  • Cloud Reliability Boosters – improving infrastructure management and operational resilience.
  • Operations Intelligence Boosters – supporting troubleshooting, knowledge sharing and operational decision-making.
  • Security & Compliance Boosters – strengthening application security and governance practices.

From sixteen different capabilities identified until now, 70% are already developed or under development, including autonomous software development assistants, cloud migration accelerators and AI-driven application security review agents.

Alongside the technical implementation, the team is also defining impact measurement frameworks, adoption models and commercialization strategies to ensure sustainable growth and long-term scalability.

What is the added value for the client?

The initiative provides Vodafone with a structured path to accelerate AI adoption while maintaining focus on measurable business outcomes.

By redesigning engineering workflows and introducing AI-assisted execution, teams can reduce manual effort, improve delivery speed, increase consistency, and strengthen quality controls.

The approach also enables faster scaling of successful solutions across different domains, allowing Vodafone to maximize the return on investment from AI initiatives instead of repeatedly solving similar problems in isolation.

What is the added value for Celfocus?

The VTV AI Hub is becoming a practical framework for how AI capabilities can be created, validated, and scaled within large delivery programs.

Beyond the direct benefits achieved within VTV, the initiative is helping Celfocus build reusable intellectual property, establish best practices for AI adoption and create a portfolio of capabilities that can potentially be replicated across other customers and business units. Data

The project is also fostering collaboration between engineering, operations and leadership teams, creating a common vision for how AI can drive measurable business value.

Who’s the team?

No items found.

This initiative brings together professionals from multiple domains across the Vodafone TV Account, including DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Software Development, Analytics, QA and Architecture.

The success of the project is driven by a highly collaborative environment where teams contribute expertise, validate use cases and continuously refine the capabilities being developed.

Upcoming

The next phase focuses on consolidating the AI portfolio, finalizing the commercialization model, and prioritizing the most impactful capabilities for broader adoption.

During the second half of the year, the team plans, with straight collaboration with Spark strategic initiative, to expand the implementation of cross-team AI solutions, further optimize existing agents and establish a sustainable operating model capable of scaling AI adoption across the organization.

The long-term vision is to transform VTV into a reference program for AI-driven engineering excellence, demonstrating how AI can create tangible value for both customers and delivery organizations.
