The AoM (Always on Marketing) Project started as a migration project for Vodafone Germany when the client had the ambition to migrate their Marketing Campaigns from their old legacy system to Pega and was struggling with the process.
Afterwards, Celfocus team was integrated into a BAU team to support Vodafone’s CBU Marketing team on the launch of new Marketing campaigns, assuring a fast time2market. Celfocus presence was also important to onboard and support Vodafone developers in the new AoM solution.
Celfocus delivered not only all migrations requested, but also extended the framework used by Vodafone inside Pega, as this framework was not yet prepared to handle Vodafone’s business fully. Our team worked on improving it, enabling the use of more communication channels to reach the customers.
Our team started on the migration phase with an Agile Scrum mixed squad (Celfocus & Vodafone), under Vodafone’s defined Agile Methodology, and then evolved to a multi-squad kanban approach as requested by Vodafone.
Celfocus accelerated campaigns’ migration and achieved the timeline expected, while bringing a fresh perspective to Vodafone: that it was possible to deliver with quality and within a proper time2market.
Celfocus experience with Pega’s framework also contributed to the technical growth of Vodafone developers.
This project was the first AoM project in Germany and Celfocus delivery quality led us to create a close relationship with the client and gain its confidence. A project that started with a migration, then led us to work closely with the business and acquire more business insights on Vodafone’s Germany market.
Additionally, we were able to increase our presence on Vodafone Germany and expand to Vodafone’s AoM IT Train with a new Celfocus squad (CMR Squad).
With this team we were able to increase the number of consultants with knowledge in Pega and Celfocus footprint in AoM and Pega projects.
Continue to fund our relationship with CBU Vodafone Germany team on current and new challenges, such as the fiber expansion and the evolution of their AoM ecosystem.
