In June, we welcomed summer with a gathering at our offices filled with great energy, good company and plenty of laughter.
But this year, we took it a step further. We came together to move for a cause, reaching 2,173 km, all converted into donations for Associação Acreditar.
We walked, ran and cycled, united by a shared purpose: supporting those who need it most.
Is there a better way to kick off the summer season?

In june, our Celfies participated in two different Volunteering Actions - one for Banco Alimentar, where they organize fresh produce and stationery supplies for distribution to various institutions, and the other for Plantar uma Árvore, helping clean and restore our native forest.

In May, we hosted another edition of celfocus.bites, exploring the BSP Operations Team’s AI journey with Carlos Vieira Silva and Vanessa Santa.
June then brought Margarida Silva and Luís Rito to the stage, who walked us through a live demo of DEX (Delivery Expert AI Agent).
And because good things come in threes, July kicked off with André Filipe Pereira, Beatriz Borges, João Carlos Calhau and Vasco Cardoso, who showed how autonomous AI agents are being embedded into Vodafone TV’s Software Development Lifecycle.

More than 30 children of our colleagues joined us in Lisbon and Porto for a morning of learning, coding and fun.
Together with Junicoders, they created digital memory games inspired by the theme Everyone Counts, exploring how technology can help build a more inclusive world.

In May, we celebrated European Diversity Month, a time to recognise and value the richness that diversity brings across Europe and beyond.
To mark the occasion, Celfocus launched a four-week celebration of culture, inclusion and the diverse perspectives that make our community stronger.

We celebrated the closing event of the Technovation Girls program at our Lisbon office bringing together daughters and relatives of our colleagues, as well as a collaboration with the Mundo Nôbu organization, through which two participants joined the program. We were also pleased to have had Happy Code at the event, which supported the program by delivering sessions that helped the girls learn how to develop their applications.
A special thank you to all mentors for their dedication and continuous support. As a token of appreciation, they received a thank-you postcard and a gift basket. And of course, thank you to the girls for their creativity, commitment, and resilience throughout the program.

In May, we marked two important milestones in information security awareness.
First, World Password Day, reminding us of the importance of strong passwords in protecting both personal and corporate information.
We also marked the 8th anniversary of GDPR, reinforcing the importance of responsible data handling and thoughtful AI use in our day-to-day work.

We've launched a Sustainability Campaign where, each month, we focus on a different theme and challenge everyone to adopt small, more conscious habits at work, with rewards along the way.
Haven't had the chance to take part yet? Stay tuned to Viva Engage and join the next challenge.

On May 9th, Celfocus took part in another Inclusive Football Tournament organized by Social Innovation Sports, an initiative that promotes connection, diversity, and inclusion, through sport.
It was a day filled with energy, teamwork, and purpose, not just playing for fun, but playing for a cause.
