Everything repeats itself but transformation and evolution happen – sometimes slowly, sometimes catastrophically.
At a different speed, businesses also live seasons, unpredictability, repetition and cycles. They have their ups and down. A certain stability is required so that businesses are “sustainable”. But external crises and factors, like competition or new ideas, lead to disruption and evolution.
The best opportunities and ideas arise when solving the most difficult problems in the most adverse scenarios. Evolution demands that risk.
A Forest Year was made from 40,000 still images taken from a window over 15 months, and blended into a film.
In December, Inspeção Geral de Atividades Culturais (IGAC), APRITEL (telco representatives) and associations representing producers, resellers and video authors came together and agreed to temporarily block the illegal transmission of online content.
As a result, Vodafone challenged Celfocus to develop a solution that would integrate with IGAC’s system and stop illegal streams in real-time.
The solution developed, not only allows fraud analysts to approve or reject incoming blockage requests sent by IGAC and persist them to the Vodafone network, but also support requests coming from law enforcement agencies.
The portal is currently active for football matches, blocking on average 100 domains and around 7600 IPs on match days. In the near future, the solution will block illegal transmission of all cultural events.
This integration was a joint activity between all Portuguese CSPs, engaging several parties, which has brought high visibility to Celfocus, to prove once more, the high standards for excellence and quality in our delivery.
On March 21st, we celebrated five years since Celfocus’ Oporto office was inaugurated!
Five years of creativity, energy, resilience, motivation, courage and so much more. Through a human orchestra team building moment, we were able to gather everyone at the Oporto office and create a symphony for the celebratory moment. As well as enjoy deliciously homemade donuts and a glass of champagne! See the video, here!
The 7th Plugin Event took place on March 21st at the Crowne Plaza in Oporto. This was the first event held in Oporto due to the successful and high admission number during the last quarter of 2018.
During this event, new colleagues had the opportunity to listen to, João Silva Corrêa, one of the first Celfocus Oporto colleagues, share his experience at Celfocus over the years and later participate in a team building activity that promoted communication, team work, creativity and multitasking skills.
