Sometimes I recall a joke from a colleague who says that 5 years of experience will require at least 5 years… or more. Jokes aside, this is true in most periods of our professional journey. But I also like to think that sometimes we can learn in an “accelerated” way because some experiences bring us an opportunity to learn faster.
Sometimes, I recall a concept that fascinated me since I heard about it for the first time: “Heat Experiences”. Heat experiences stand for an outstanding mission, beyond our existing experience or current job description – but that is faced as an opportunity to learn or develop new competencies.
A Heat experience can be amazingly challenging or very frustrating, depending on the actual impact of the change. But learning from a Heat Experience should be faced as always rewarding. Much of the organizational and personal progress came from success stories or the biggest failures. What matters is to drive progress and learn from experience.
Most students find boredom in between the pages of a history textbook, but why is it so essential to learn? Hear this history professor explain how history is not as ancient as it feels, and why it is so relevant today.

Agility has been a hot topic in our organisation over the past few years, and this year was no different. This year the Agility Lab team brought us a full day event in hybrid format to discuss How Structure Affects Behaviour and Culture. A filled with talks, panels and workshops where we explored relevant topics.
Cloud is not just a trend but a reality! Adopting Cloud solutions is key and a priority topic in companies’ agendas who wish to continue to be competitive in a constant and evolutive market.
This week we had another amazing edition of Celfocus Days, Celfocus internal knowledge and discussion sessions around an important theme, with the first edition of Cloud Days.
Focusing on relevant topics such as transitioning to cloud, web3, blockchain and key use cases, this two-day sessions also counted with the participation of AWS guests Christoph Niemann and Matias Huescar Nunez.
This December 15th, we celebrated the season with another great edition of the Novabase Group Holiday Party! Taking place in Lisbon, at Terminal dos Cruzeiros de Lisboa, the event gathered around 1.000 colleagues from all Novabase Group companies!
“Music Battle” was the motto of an evening, with a true journey through time with songs that took us back to several decades. It was also an opportunity to celebrate what brings us together, to meet and reconnect with colleagues from multiple geographies. We can’t wait for the year to come, happy holidays!
