MOST is an advanced network configuration management solution, enabling the export and analysis of network configurations. It empowers users to ensure compliance, optimize performance, and automate processes across various markets and vendors.

2024 has been a great year for MOST! These were the major achivements:

• ‍MOST is now able to Export Network Configuration and allow users to navigate in it

With Network Export, users can now check the status and configuration of each cell, sector, and area of the network within a time range of up to six days. We view this as a first step towards enabling deeper network analysis. Several requests are already being identified, such as Audit - analysing configuration differences between multiple dates - and Network Consistency Check, which ensures configurations comply with baselines set by vendors and engineering teams.

• ‍An additional RAN Vendor: Samsung

Samsung is a new vendor that is increasingly becoming more popular in markets as UK and Germany. Samsung is also aiming to provide Open RAN soon. MOST is now able to export its configuration and make the information available for the users through the GUI. We have been also awarded with the request to be able to configure new sites for this Vendor.

• ‍Delivering to a new OPCO: Vodafone Ireland

VF IE is the most recent OPCO in MOST. The client is requesting a new use case to analyse if the network configuration is according to the predefined rules, namely regarding power saving features that can be configured in the 5G Technology. Compliance with these rules will be presented in the GUI displaying also the exceptions found in the whole Irish network.

• ‍Increased level of automation by Integrating with local Ticketing Systems

VF PT asked to increase the level of automation provided by MOST. Beyond being able to deploy the configuration on the Network and having the results exported automatically they wanted this to happen while integrating with the Portuguese Ticketing System. MOST is now able to fetch the tickets, extract the relevant information, produce the required configuration, deploy it in the network and update the tickets accordingly.

• ‍German Data Centre in Ratingen

MOST is now operating from Ratingen Data Centre. With this it became independent from the CIAS platform having its own deployment Cycle and having the underlying environment focused entirely on MOST needs.

With these new capabilities, MOST becomes more attractive, increasing the appeal of its use in major markets as Germany and UK.

MOST provides significant value to clients by enhancing network visibility, ensuring configuration compliance, and automating critical processes. These capabilities improve operational efficiency, reduce errors, and enable faster decision-making, making it a key enabler for network optimization and innovation.

For the near future we are being requested to increase the amount of network configuration use cases, increase the level of analysis of the network configuration and explore how GenAI can create meaningful use cases for the Network Engineering and Operations.
