Meet Sandra Georgy

What’s one habit or routine that has made a significant impact on your personal or professional growth?

Consistent Learning is the key asset. I set a rule to learn something regularly even if it’s just reading a single article, watching a short talk and Podcasts.

Over time, this created a habit of curiosity and constant improvement on my personal and professional growth.

Stepping into the unknown is often necessary for progress. What’s one bold risk that has paid off in your career?

One bold risk I took was accepting a leadership role in a completely new market/company/technology where there no guarantees, just a lot of potential. It pushed me far beyond my comfort zone and tested me in ways I hadn’t imagined. But it turned out to be one of the most rewarding decisions of my career. Staying in your comfort zone isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but stepping outside of it reveals new perspectives not just in business, but in life as well.

Growth can be thrilling but also unsettling. In your opinion what’s one uncomfortable truth about growth that leaders need to embrace?

One uncomfortable truth about growth that leaders need to embrace is that The Skills That Got You Here Won’t Get You There! One tough truth is that what made you successful in the past may hold you back in the future.

Growth requires constant reinvention, and that includes yourself as a leader.

What are the biggest opportunities and challenges of launching a new office in such a dynamic market?

Launching a new office in a dynamic market like Egypt comes with tremendous opportunity and real challenges. On the opportunity side, Egypt offers access to a huge rich young, tech-savvy talent pool with strong technical skills and an eagerness to grow. The time zone alignment with Europe & Middle east also allows for seamless collaboration, which is a big advantage for nearshore delivery models. But with that comes challenges. The pace of change in the market can be unpredictable regulatory shifts, economic fluctuations, and fierce competition for top talent require constant agility. Building the right culture from day one is another key challenge. You're not just setting up desks you’re building a team identity that aligns with the Celfocus while respecting local dynamics. If done thoughtfully, though, the combination of talent, energy, and strategic positioning can turn a new office into a true growth engine.

If you could fast-forward five years, what would you hope people say about the impact of the EDC on Celfocus’ growth?

If we fast-forward five years, I’d love to hear people say that the EDC became a true catalyst for Celfocus’ evolution—not just in terms of delivery capacity, but in shaping culture, how we deliver and how we innovate.

Also seeing EDC as a place where talent was truly nurtured, new ideas were born, and impact was felt across projects. Not just a delivery center, but a place that helped define what this next chapter of growth looked like for Celfocus.

Looking beyond EDC, what do you think is the next big shift in the industry that we should be preparing for?

With everything buzzing around us in the tech world these days, it’s clear that the next big shift has already begun and it’s all about AI.

It’s not only transforming what we deliver, but also how we work. From automation to smarter faster decision making and reimagined customer experiences, AI is already changing the game.

But the biggest shift ahead is CULTURAL. Teams will need to adapt quickly. It’s not about replacing talent; it’s about empowering them. And the companies that start preparing now, by investing in continuous learning, adaptability, and ethical use of AI, will be the ones leading the way forward.
