About the initiative

In the first half of 2025, we launched a meaningful partnership with Futuro à Vista to reinforce our commitment to inclusion, education, and early career development. This collaboration gave rise to a job shadowing initiative that brings university students closer to the real-world dynamics of professional life — through authentic, human-centered learning moments.

As part of this pilot experience, two of our colleagues from the Marketing and Design teams, Tânia Videira and Carlota Silva, generously opened their workday to host and guide students, offering insights into their roles, tools, and career journeys.

What is the purpose of the job shadowing initiative with Futuro à Vista?

The goal of this job shadowing initiative is to create a meaningful bridge between academic life and the professional world. By partnering with Futuro à Vista, we’re offering college students real-world exposure to careers they might be considering, helping them connect their studies with future opportunities. It’s about demystifying the workplace, providing inspiration, and empowering students to make more informed career decisions.

How can a few hours of our colleagues’ time make a lasting impression on a student’s career path?

Sometimes, all it takes is one conversation, one moment of insight, or one relatable story to change the trajectory of someone’s future. A few hours can open students’ eyes to new possibilities, help them clarify their goals, or even give them the confidence to pursue a path they hadn’t considered. By simply sharing our day-to-day experiences, we show them what’s possible, and that can be incredibly powerful.

What do volunteers gain from this experience - both personally and professionally?

Volunteers often describe this experience as energizing and rewarding. Personally, it’s a chance to give back, to mentor, and to reflect on one’s own career journey. Professionally, it helps build communication and leadership skills and strengthens our culture of inclusion and learning. Engaging with the next generation also brings fresh perspectives and reminds us of the importance of the work we do.
