Food is an important part of our lives, it is one of the most basic necessities and an important source of pleasure.
Since the beginning of times, cities were organized according to the route and availability of foodstuff. Among the main evolutions of human life in society, this may be one of the most significant revolutions, which till this day determines the way we live.
However, there are those who believe that a new revolution is underway – surrounding Information Technology – which ultimately affects the hierarchy of needs: humans are able to feed themselves, communicate, work and amuse themselves without being subject to architectural or location restrictions.
Innovating in Information Technology and especially in the telecommunications sector means being at the centre of that revolution, in which telecommunication operators play a key role as a leverage, a stimulus and a connection.
Like in previous editions of CALL, we present some examples of results achieved in Celfocus’ projects – which serve to understand our contribution to this revolution.
Our role is to empower innovation, when serving a sector this dynamic, in which technology increasingly shapes our lives.
Bundles are a combination of services offered by Communications Service Providers. The industry has even established popular names for such offers, 3P, and more recently 4P/5P. Broadband, TV, Calls, and Mobile are perhaps the most common services among Vodafone Portugal customers.
Although these services seem to be available at the click of a button for customers, the underlying complexity and segregation has left operators in distress for far too long.
In April 2015, Vodafone Portugal challenged Celfocus to make bundles a less stressful offer. Making bundles more convergent, and aggregated, would represent long-term advantages for both customers and Vodafone Portugal.
Celfocus’ successful delivery allows Vodafone to currently provide customers an integrated Broadband, TV, Calls and Mobile offer under a single contract at a more competitive-based pricing.
For Vodafone Ghana’s operators visiting a number of different interfaces and systems, in order to answer customer doubts or activate a service was a normal procedure. This time consuming task was not only diminishing customer satisfaction, it was also increasing resolution handling times. Ultimately, resulting in a significant hurdle when attempting to provide effective customer service.
Celfocus’ participation in Ghana left the operator with the ability to manage customer experiences using a single, cross-functional, and highly-integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
After July 2016, Vodafone Ghana enjoyed a complete 360º view of its customers, with the introduction of post-paid and fixed service (consumer and enterprise) customers into CRM and the integration of a new Billing system (CBS). By concentrating all customer data, the operator is now able to effectively manage its customers, quickly answer customer queries, schedule field service interventions and support complex solutions for Enterprise customers using a single platform.
Currently, Vodafone Ghana’s pre-paid, post-paid and fixed service (consumer and enterprise) customers enjoy an efficient customer experience.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is currently a worldwide phenomenon. The idea that everyday objects may in the near-future have network connectivity, has impacted and excited all industries.
ThingWorx is a platform tailored to IoT’s very specific needs. This platform offers industry specific tools and capabilities that ultimately enable businesses to deliver powerful IoT solutions.
Having an ecosystem of partners, ThingWorx creates and extends smart, connected capabilities to all things for all industries, from extensions and apps that can be downloaded and integrated to partners that can help build IoT solutions or offers.
ThingWorx is the fastest growing IoT marketplace and a true enabler in an innovative industry. In February, Celfocus became a proud partner of ThingWorx. Later in August, Celfocus celebrated its first official extension published at the ThingWorx marketplace.
This accomplishment marks a great milestone for Celfocus as it strengthens our position and introduces CM+ to the industry. The CM+ Extension allows a ThingWorx Instance to integrate seamlessly with a remote CM+ Server, giving the user complete control of creation, updates, and deletion of database CRM entities, such as Customers, Accounts, and Assets, from within the ThingWorx Platform.
